68th Street Closure Notice

Fireside Flat neighbors! 68th St will be closed September 20th and 21st for two huge milestones! On September 20th we're having our first gypcrete pour on the small areas on the roof and the entire level L6! Then...drumroll please...on September 21st, we're dismantling our tower crane!

Gypcrete Pour Time

9/20/21 the gypcrete pump truck will arrive at 6:30am, so have those earplugs in and shades drawn (since it's staying darker later in the morning, booo). The pour will last until 5pm.

68th street will be closed from the west side of the Lucille garage wall to the East side of the Eleanor building; there will be access into Lucille's garage and the church parking lot, located North of the site.

Tower Crane Dismantle

Below is a copy of the approved noise variance.

The crew will show up at 5am and start set-up at 5:30am. The dismantle will be an all day occurrence.

We ask that people do not take photos or distract/talk with any crew members onsite during this dismantle for safety purposes.

Construction Schedule

Wood framing is about 99% complete and we're starting to building out the interior; drywall cover has happened on level L6 and we're chasing down the building now. We're super excited for cabinets to arrive in October, which will trigger the rest of the interior finish buildout.

We will be working most Saturdays, and with interior finishes starting, the street may still be closed sometimes for large deliveries (appliances, cabinets, etc.); we'll try our best to notify and put signs out for no-parks, but please be patient and drive slow on 68th. As Seattle residents, we all want the same thing - beauty throughout; so thank you for being patient with early morning noise, Saturday work, and finding new places to park. By next summer, you will have your 68th street back and with new neighbors!
